Event Details
Harwich Haven Authority will be hosting a series of free craft workshops on Ha’penny Pier during the summer holidays.
The drop-in workshops will take place on Monday 20, Wednesday 22 and Friday 24 August in the Visitor Centre between 10am–1pm. The creative sessions will be delivered by the team from the Harwich Festival and are suitable for all ages. Children, must however, be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Artist Monique de Vlieger – whose community installation Fishy Business can be seen on Ha’penny Pier until the end of October – will lead the workshops. Children can decorate fishy bunting or have a go at sewing a small felt fish using recycled materials to take home. Harwich Haven Authority is also providing free lollies to children taking part in the activity.
There’s no need to book a place and more details about the workshops can be found on the Harwich Haven Facebook page.
