Mark Tilton was born and grew up in Blackpool, Lancashire. After a youthful career in punk rock, he did a degree in Film Making and then studied on the Creative Writing MA at UEA. He is now a professional screenwriter specialising in comedy and drama, and is a regular Visiting Professional at The National Film & Television School and Royal Central School of Speech & Drama. He also sings and plays guitar, mostly with his band Black Crack.
