Lucy Boynton played the female lead in John Carney’s Sing Street. The film got rave reviews and received a Golden Globe nomination in the category of Best Motion Picture for a Musical or Comedy.
Lucy Boynton will be attending a special screening of John Carney’s Sing Street as part of the Electric Palace’s continuing fund-raising events. She will be doing a Q&A at the end of the film. The coming-of-age story revolves around a boy starting a band to impress a girl (Lucy) in 1980s Ireland. The soundtrack features tracks by many of the top bands of the 80s including The Jam, Joe Jackson, Lemmy, Daryl Hall and John Oates, Duran Duran and M.
