A sparkling awards ceremony celebrated business success across the district and marked the end of the TENDRING4GROWTH Business Fortnight 2023.
Held in the Princes Theatre, the event recognised achievements by Tendring firms and included entertainment from local performers Jamie Timms, and Clacton Community Theatre performing Oliver!, as well as an opportunity for networking.
The event was sponsored by a number of organisations, including headline sponsor Colbea, the Princes Theatre, Rose Builders, Backing Essex Business, the North Essex Economic Board, the FSB, Clacton Pier and Red Nova.
Award categories reflected the themes of the events held during the preceding TENDRING4GROWTH Business Fortnight, such as creativity and culture, women in business and tourism.
Councillor Ivan Henderson, TDC Portfolio Holder for Economic Growth, Regeneration and Tourism, said he had been impressed by the stories of success at the event.
“There have been some gloomy economic times lately, but what I saw at the TENDRING4GROWTH Business Awards is just how resilient and strong our local firms are, who are out there doing amazing things,” Councillor Henderson said.
“I know the judging panel had some really difficult choice to make, and all those nominated should be proud of their contribution to the Tendring economy – providing innovative products and services, creating jobs, and giving back to the community.
“My congratulations go to them all, along with our awards sponsors, and all of the fantastic speakers we have had during the TENDRING4GROWTH Business Fortnight.”
