Electric Palace

Ha’penny Pier & Visitor Centre
The Information Centre opens at Easter until 2nd week of October 10am to 5pm daily. Free guided tours of Harwich start at Ha’penny Pier every Saturday at 2pm during the summer season.

Harwich Museum
Harwich Museum which is housed within the former Bernard Uniform offices was officially opened in 2021. Whether you drop in for half an hour or half a day, there is plenty to explore whatever your age.

Harwich Redoubt Fort
Harwich Redoubt Fort is 180ft (60m) circular fort build in 1808 to defend the port of Harwich from Napoleonic invasion.

The High Lighthouse
Built in 1818 to replace a light over the Town Gate. This and the Low Lighthouse were used in transit to aid navigation into the harbour. The High Lighthouse was withdrawn from service in 1862 and now houses a museum of local interest.
